CPA Accountant

The principle, Greg Dear is a triple premiership Ruckman who played for Hawthorn and Richmond football clubs.

Greg studied for a Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting Law at Deakin University. On completion he worked at Kieran Liston and Co. He remained at Kieran Liston and Co. from 1995 to 2000 and qualified as a Certified practising accountant (CPA) during this time.

In 2000 Greg and his family made a sea change and moved to Lakes Entrance where he worked with a local firm for 3 years before commencing his own business in 2003.

Greg started his working career as an apprentice electrician and still holds his A Grade Licence. He is passionate about tradie start up’s.

Expert in all matters concerning: taxation, GST, business structures, self-managed super funds, accounting and FBT.

He lives locally with his wife and teenage daughter. He has two older boys.

Joanne is a certified Intuit QuickBooks ProAdvisor as well as a CPA Associate Accountant.

Jo studied through Melbourne University obtaining a Bachelor of Science – Rural Management followed by Masters of Agribusiness.

These studies saw her work for the Primary Industries in the Northern Territory conducting research in pastures and later as an office manager to a large horse stud in Tamworth NSW.

In 2012 Jo and her family had a sea change and returned to East Gippsland where she was born and bred and completed her Associate Accountant whilst working at Greg Dear Accounting.

Brownyn brings lots of enthusiasm and office skills to the team in order to streamline office procedures and efficiency to bring the best results.

Working from a young age, helping in her parent’s agribusiness, Bronwyn went on to complete VCE followed by her Associate Diploma in Business – Office Administration.

After five years working in office administration, took a sea change and now has a total of 20 years of experience.

Trainee Accountant

After recently completing VCE majoring in Accounting and Legal Studies Prue is taking a GAP year after being accepted into Commerce Law at Deakin.  During her Gap year Prue will be working at GDA as a Trainee Accountant giving her the insight into the real world of accounting and its broad aspects.

Prue has lived in Lakes Entrance her whole life. She is an active member of the Lakes Entrance Netball Team – 2 premierships to date and competed with Lakes Entrance Surf Life Saving Club as a Nipper. The daughter of Greg our principle she gives a fresh, new approach to accounting and bookkeeping. She has recently obtained her Advanced Certificate as a Intuit Quickbooks Proadvisor and is currently being trained in all areas of Quickbooks.

Her ultimate career goal is to gain experience in small accounting firm before taking the 5 year plunge into University followed by a career in Accounting Liquidation.
